The Open House weekend: architecture at the center
Open House to the world of architecture in Lisbon
Open House returns on 10 and 11 May. A special time in Lisbon to push open doors that are sometimes closed to the public.
Open House is also a free opportunity to visit buildings, both private and public, that are familiar or little-known.
The 14 th Open House session, an initiative of Trienal de Arquitectura, is just as rich as in previous years.
In fact, Open House architecture is constantly being rediscovered.
And that’s often the question we ask ourselves: is the city set in stone, sure of its ingenuity and creativity?
History shows us that it isn’t. And Open House is here to show us.
Lisbon as we rarely see it, in all its intimacy, contradictions and successes.
www.lisbonne-affinités.com was able to preview Open House 2025.
Thinking and rethinking the city
What makes Lisbon Lisbon? It’s a great question for thinking about the capital.
Open House has added 23 spaces to those open to visitors over the 2 days of the event.
This means that 72 spaces can be visited free of charge.
The Fronteira Palace, the English Cemetery, the Palace of the Mediator of Justice, the Loreto Church, the surprising Uni Cocktail Bar… There’s plenty to surprise you.
Visits are free, depending on the number of places available. Entry is on a first-come,

Open House for everyone.
Open House is deliberately focused on the population of Lisbon.
The event is aimed at children, with specially adapted programmes. To register for the junior programme, email actividades@trienaldelisboa.com.
But it’s also aimed at people with disabilities, such as deafness or visual impairment.
Some of the buildings open to the public for the occasion benefit from special facilities. Like the Vista Relax for people with neurological problems.
Reservations must be made in advance between now and 9 May 2025.
Finally, there’s Open House Plus: a whole series of themed events, meetings and exhibitions.
Open house informed
Not all the places Open House offers you to visit are public or private.
